Eowyn when used properly can be one of the most deadly and effective T1s and commanders in general for any good faction. With the right combination of gear, skills and troops, she can beat any opposition. This guide will show you how to use her abilities to the full.
Eowyn is a commander with high speed and decent might and focus, so it is a good idea to use skills and gear that make use of this. Eowyn’s skill tree mainly revolves around her boosting to cavalry units, meaning she is very useful for Rohirrim. The ideal way to use her is to increase her respect to at least level 5 using gifts, and allocate skill points as the following:
15 points to the ability - “Rohirrim” - Mounted units damage + % every time they inflict damage (Modified by Speed) stacks up to 3, max level Might +15
6 points to the ability - “Cleave” - Against 1 target deal % physical damage (Modified by Speed)
7 points to the ability - “Riding Excellence” – Mounted units -% damage received
15 points to the ability - “White Lady of Rohan” – Each round all mounted units recover % HP, max level Mounted units gain stun immunity
7 points to the ability - “Frontline Rescue” – Round 3 Allied melee units recover % HP
7 points to the ability - “Nobility” – Men Damage + %
This can be seen in the image below as well. As seen in these abilities, Eowyn’s skill tree enables a bonus to mounted units, and Rohirrim.
As with her skill tree, by equipping the right commander gear Eowyn can thrive. The recommended gear is as follows:
“Reach of the Riddermark” - Boosts Rohirrim Horsemen
“Plate of the Citadel” - Boosts men
“Swan Helm” - Boosts Men
“Night Star” - Boosts Men
Some alternatives:
Hand: Shortsword
Chest: Scale Mail
Head: Horseman’s Helm
Accessory: Hobbit Fiddle
Finally, we come to the troops. Keep in mind that the troops listed here are for general unspecialised situations. If equipped with the suggested gear and with the suggested skills, the ideal troops for Eowyn are:
-Full Mounted units
-Swan Knight
-Cavalier
-Marshal
-Cataphract*
-Ram Rider*
This concludes the Eowyn guide, I hope you find it useful.
