Lurtz Guide

Season 1

Lurtz is a Tier 2 commander from Evil factions who has very high physical damage potential, and excellent single target damage. Lurtz can be obtained through Mathom chests where you may gain respect and eventually recruit him.

Lurtz is an integral Commander for any Evil faction player due to his very high damage, ease of use, and available gear.

Attributes

The first thing to understand about Lurtz is that he is a physical damage commander. This means he will heavily rely on his damaging skills , as well as the might and speed attributes. These attributes aid Lurtz in doing bonus damage on his skills, as well as increase his turn in battle.

Lurtz has the level 20 Commander Perk of warrior, which is a perfect bonus.

Skills

At Respect 1 , Lurtz can be a deadly commander. It is important to outfit him properly so that he can perform accordingly !

Lurtz has excellent physical damaging skills at base respect.

The main skill to level is Pursuer. This is a flat damage increase, and at level 15 this skill will be modified by speed.

The secondary skills Deepen Wounds and Overwhelm do massive damage to both enemy troops and enemy commanders.

Deepen wounds is a round 2 skill that does massive damage and increases the damage taken upon the enemy receiving their next damage. Excellent utility.

Overwhelm deals massive damage over two separate rounds and will shred through enemies.

*Do not allocate points into Urukai Elite*

At Respect 3 , Lurtz unlocks his most powerful skill and becomes an extremely high damage commander.

Uruk-Hai First-Born does very high physical damage and absolutely decimates enemy armies. This skill should be allocated to 15 points to further increase the damage of the attack.

Raid is the final skill to allocate points into. This skill is a welcome damaging ability with a 50% chance of doubling.

Gear

The only gear that should be placed on Lurtz is gear that has might and/or speed. Any focus gear is a waste of points! (The exception here is artifacts)

Blue rarity items are readily available and can be powerful at 3 stars.

Purple rarity items have secondary affixes and can be strengthened and refined to high levels.

Lurtz has many best in slot purple items , making him easy to gear. These items all have high might or a might/speed combination to synergize with his skills.

Gold rarity items are extremely rare but very powerful. These items are mostly obtained through mathom chests , however some items are available as rewards through the pass or other sources.

Commander Army Composition

Lurtz benefits from Uruk-Hai comps and armies that can kill enemies very quickly. This compliments his high damage output so that the enemy is killed within the first phase of combat. The following composition aims to counter archers and calvary so that the damage bonus from berserkers can really shine.

The main Army Composition for Lurtz should be Berserkers, Snipers, and Raiders.
