Khamul Guide

Season 1

Khamûl is a Tier 2 commander from Evil factions with high focus damage and utility. Khamûl can be obtained through Mathom chests or the commander pack.

Khamûl is an integral Commander for any Evil faction player due to his very high focus damage skill , and excellent utility.

Attributes

Khamûl is a focus damage commander. This means he will heavily rely on the attribute of focus. Focus boosts Khamûl by increasing the total damage on his skills, as well as damage reduction to his army. Might will be our secondary attribute, only for the benefit of raw added damage to our troops.

Khamûl has the level 20 Commander Perk of strategist, which is an amazing bonus, offering us a moderate boost to overall damage.

Skills

At Respect 1 , Khamûl is a very effective commander at keeping losses to a minimum. However, it is important to understand that Khamûl will begin to shine at mid-late game.

Khamûl has a very powerful focus damage skill at base respect.

Khamûl has a strong buff available that also boosts his stats

The first main skill to level is Second-In-Command. This is a skill that boosts Khamûl's stats and provides his army with a moderate damage increase during combat. At max level, he gains an additional boost to his stats. This skill is integral to building a strong base for Khamûl.

The secondary skill Discipline is very important at providing utility in the form of defense for our troops. Again, we want to minimize losses. +35 defense is a very generous boost.

The main damaging skill for Khamûl is Shadow of the East. Consider this skill to be a focus nuke. The skill activates round 1 and we will aim to have the highest amount of focus possible to kill as many troops as we can in the first round. Max level makes the skill target the highest defense opponent, which is crucial when facing Iron Warriors , Trolls, or any high defense enemy.

*Do not allocate points into the second skills under Shadow of the East*

At Respect 3 , Khamûl unlocks the skill Ringwraith , a skill that carries excellent utility. This skill grants us more % focus damage against enemies, as well as a boost to our focus stat when maxed out.

EXAMPLE OF AN EARLY-MID GAME BUILD

Gear

The only gear that should be placed on Khamûl is gear that has focus. Any gear that does not have focus is an absolute no-no.

Blue rarity items are readily available and can be powerful at 3 stars.

Purple rarity items have secondary affixes and can be strengthened and refined to high levels.

Khamûl has many options here, however there are certainly best in slot items. Try to prioritize focus on all of your gear.

Gold rarity items are extremely rare but very powerful. These items are mostly obtained through mathom chests , however some items are available as rewards through the pass or other sources. Substitute out Bone Armor for Golden Skin for pure damage.

Commander Army Composition

Khamûl is very unique in army composition, as you have a lot of options. Trolls actually find great success under Khamûl , which are otherwise seldom used in any of my armies. Trolls will gain benefit from the 15% damage boost , as well as the +35 defense. In a troll composition, I prefer to compliment troops that can wear down my enemies with high defenses.

The main Army Composition for Khamûl is Mountain Trolls, Morgul Arbalists, and Crushers. An alternative composition without Trolls focused on countering infantry/archer comps would be Reapers, Crushers , and Snipers.
